Team India’s star all-rounder Hardik Pandya was in some stellar form with the bat during the side’s first T20I match against Bangladesh in Gwalior on Sunday.
The 30-year-old had a fine start with the ball where he picked up a wicket while conceding 26 runs in his quota of four overs in the first innings. But it was his knock with the bat that stole the show as India went on to secure the win by seven wickets and 49 balls to spare.
Pandya showcased his class in his finishing abilities as he scored three consecutive boundaries in the 12th over to finish off the game in style. He started with a ridiculous no-look shot off Taskin Ahmed where he just ramped one away over the wicketkeeper’s head.

This was then followed by a powerful pull-shot where his bat flung out of his hand but still managed to get enough connection to see the full-toss being smacked away for a boundary towards the backwards-point region.

The T20 World Cup-winning all-rounder finished off the game with a powerful pull-shot over the mid-wicket boundary ropes to seal the win for India who went 1-0 up in the three-match affair.
Team India ticked a lot of boxes in their win over Bangladesh in Gwalior. From Varun Chakravarthy’s career-best figures on his T20I return, Mayank Yadav’s sensational T20I debut, Sanju Samson’s level-headed start to keep India in front and finally Hardik Pandya’s sizzling finish.
The Men in Blue continue to showcase the depth of talent that they have on offer as they continue to become a dominant force in world cricket as they outclassed their opponents, Bangladesh who looked far from their best and failed to live up to the Indian challenge.
The Indian side will gear up once again as they take on Bangladesh in the second T20I at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on October 9, followed by the final game at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on October 12 respectively.
