The fans kept chanting Dhoni’s name and the CSK wicketkeeper-batter acknowledged their support with folded hands after the end of the contest. A clip of the exchange between the two-time world cup winning skipper and fans at the venue is going viral on social media.
Even LSG captain KL Rahul admitted how the venue was turned into mini Chennai considering the sea of yellow jerseys on display.
“Today it felt like playing a mini Chennai. I don’t think the crowd in Chennai will roar for us. I was telling boys in huddle to get used to the crowd and this is what we will get it again in a couple of days time, maybe louder. Looking forward to playing CSK again,” Rahul said at the post-match presentation.
