BPSC Recruitment 2024: Registration for 1,051 Block Agriculture Officer Posts to Begin on January 15

The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has invited applications for the recruitment of eligible candidates to block agriculture officers and other posts. Interested candidates who meet the eligibility criteria can apply online through the official website of the Bihar Public Service Commission at bpsc.bih.nic.in. It is to be noted that the registration window for the same will begin on January 15 and will remain accessible until January 28, 2024.

Under this recruitment campaign, the Bihar Public Service Commission is aiming to fill up a total of 1,051 posts in the organisation. Out of the mentioned posts, there are 155 vacancies for Agriculture Sub Director, 19 vacancies are opened for Assistant Director (Agricultural Engineering), for Assistant Director (Plant Protection), there are 11 posts, and 866 posts have been reserved for the Block Agriculture Officer.

BPSC Recruitment 2024: Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit: Candidates seeking to apply for the aforementioned posts must be between 21 to 37 years of age as of August 01, 2023. However, upper-age relaxation is applicable for candidates of the reserved categories.

Educational Qualification

Block Agriculture Officer: Must possess a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Science (B.Sc. Agriculture) from a recognized university/institute.

Assistant Director (Plant Protection): Bachelor’s degree in Elective Plant Protection from a recognized Agricultural Institute/ University/ Central University is required to be eligible.

Assistant Director (Agricultural Engineering): To be eligible for this post, candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering from a recognised Agricultural University/Institute/Central University.

BPSC Recruitment 2024: Selection Process

The candidates will be selected based on a written test followed by an interview. The written test encompasses 400-mark questions. Those candidates who pass the written examination will be eligible to appear for the interview round.

BPSC Recruitment 2024: Application Fees

Candidates falling under the general category are required to pay an application fee of Rs 750 at the time of registration. However, Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), reserved/unreserved, handicapped category, and female candidates have to pay Rs 200 to complete the registration.

In addition to that, candidates need to pay Rs 200 for each post separately for each examination, like Assistant Director (Crops and equivalent)/Sub-Divisional Agriculture Officer, Assistant Director Plant Protection, and Assistant Director (Agricultural Engineering).
