The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) will be conducting the board exams from February 22 to March 9, 2024. Exam time automatically means stress for students and their parents as well. So, how can one prepare well for the upcoming boards?
Students feel extremely anxious and stressed during exam time. Despite revisions, many do not feel confident and get scared while writing the paper. If you or someone you know is stressed about the upcoming exams, here are 5 tips shared by Tarun Saini, Co-Founder and CEO of Vidyakul.
Schedule study time and make goals
Students often get nervous seeing the vast syllabus and chalking out time for it. In such circumstances, it is important to create a schedule or a timetable for every subject. Set some daily goals for yourself and prioritize subjects based on the syllabus, your interests, and your preparation.
Mental and physical health is important
To prepare for any exam, it is important to be in the right frame of mind and be healthy as well. Only if you are well-rested, eating a balanced diet, and exercising regularly will you feel energetic and motivated. This will help you concentrate better and prepare for the exams. Make sure to engage in outdoor activities and focus on your mental health by practising meditation as well.
Seek out family and friends
It is quite important to have the support of friends and family during such stressful situations. It helps in keeping the emotions in check. Friends and family can help boost morale and confidence during such times and also help in preparing for the exam. Do not hesitate to seek out the help of your friends and family and even your teachers.
Take the mock tests
While preparing for the upcoming boards, it will be of great help to solve previous year’s question papers, other sample papers, and mock tests. This will help you understand the exam pattern and marking scheme. If you face any challenges while solving them, seek out help from teachers.
Make brief notes
After studying every chapter, make brief notes. This will help you revise the syllabus quickly. Also, such notes will help you remember the key points.
