Anjali Jain, a married woman from the Bengali colony of Hazaribagh district, has achieved remarkable success in the Chartered Accountant (CA) 2024 examination on her fourth attempt. Her inspiring journey highlights the crucial support from her husband and mother-in-law, breaking the stereotype of strained relationships between daughters-in-law and mothers-in-law.
Upon entering her in-laws’ home after marriage, Anjali was not burdened with kitchen responsibilities. Instead, her mother-in-law encouraged her to focus on her studies, while her husband, also a chartered accountant, provided unwavering support. Anjali credits her success to this nurturing environment, emphasizing the positive dynamics within her family.

Anjali claimed to Local 18 that she had dreamed of becoming a chartered accountant since her childhood. She started preparing for this exam when she was in class 10th. Though she passed the prelims she could not clear the finals, before her marriage. After her marriage in 2022, she started preparing again.
She also stated that, after her marriage, her family members were truly very supportive. Among everyone, her mother-in-law and her husband supported her the most. Her mother-in-law did not burden her with family responsibilities rather she handed her pen and paper to study. Anjali also mentioned that her mother-in-law used to do all the household activities, including family functions or the arrival of any guest or relative. Her husband had morally supported her.
Anjali further said that she used to study for 10 to 12 hours every day. However, her family members are really happy after her CA results have come out. She has become a source of inspiration not only for the youth of the society but also for those housewives who dream of rising.
