The Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) has released the recruitment notification for 5,600 constable vacancies which include 5,000 posts for male and 600 for female candidates. The registration will commence on September 10 and will go on till September 24. Eligible and interested candidates can apply on the official website at hssc.gov.in.
HSSC Constable Recruitment 2024: Vacancy Details
This recruitment is done for 5,600 constable posts and is allocated in three different categories.
Category 1 (Male Constable, General Duty): 4,000 vacancies
Category 2 (Female Constable, General Duty): 600 vacancies
Category 3 (Male Constable, India Reserve Battalions): 1,000 vacancies.
HSSC Constable Recruitment 2024: Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification: Those who have cleared the Group C examination will be able to apply for this recruitment drive. Furthermore, candidates must have passed their class 12 examination or equivalent from a recognised board. They must have passed their class 10 examination (Matric) with Hindi or Sanskrit as a subject.
Age limit: Candidates must be between 18 to 25 years old as of September 1, 2024. For the SC/BC/EWS candidates, there is an age relaxation for up to 5 years. Ex-servicemen are allowed a break in service of up to four years.

Step 2: From the homepage, navigate to the recruitment section and select the link for Advt. No. 14/2024.
Step 3: Fill out the application form carefully with all the documents required like personal details, educational qualifications, and other relevant information.
Step 4: Upload scanned copies of all mandatory documents
Step 5: Recheck the form before submitting
Step 6: Once you are satisfied that all the information is correct, submit the application form online.
Step 7: After submitting the form, take a screenshot or printout of it for further reference.
HSSC Constable Recruitment 2024: Selection Process
The selection process consists of multiple stages:
— For the Physical Measurement Test (PMT), candidates must meet specific physical standards as per the Haryana Police guidelines.
— For the Physical Screening Test (PST), the male candidates must be able to run 2.5 km in 12 minutes and the female candidates must run 1 km in 6 minutes. The ex-servicemen must be able to run 1 km in 5 minutes
— The knowledge test carries a weightage of 94.5 per cent and includes objective-type questions. The medium of examination will be bilingual (Hindi/English), except where language proficiency is tested.
— Candidates must score at least 50 per cent to qualify for general category posts. For reserved categories, the cutoff is 40 per cent. Candidates who possess the NCC certificates will receive additional marks (1-3 marks depending on the level of certification).
