The prestigious Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) has commenced the e-counselling process for admissions in five of its postgraduate diploma courses. Interested candidates can apply at the official website of the institution.
As per reports, admission to the PG Diploma courses will be based on the score of the Common University Entrance Test (CUET PG) 2024. The candidates have to register for admission at the official link, iimc.admissions.nic.in.
Students belonging to the general category have to pay the registration fee of Rs 1,500. The candidates who belong to the categories of EWS, OBC, SC, ST and PH, have to give Rs 1,000 as the registration fee. According to reports, the merit list is expected to be released on May 11.
The admission is being carried out for these five courses: English Journalism, Hindi Journalism, Advertising and Public Relations, Radio and Television Journalism, and Digital Media. The tentative date for the new session is being reported to be August 5.
The admission in charge at IIMC and controller of examinations, Rakesh Kumar Goswami, asked the candidates to fill out the registration form carefully and thoroughly with their preferences for the courses and the campus. He stated, “Any request for changes in the preferences will not be accepted after the submission of the registration form.” Informing further he stated when the course selection is done, the candidates have to make an advance payment of Rs 20,000 which would secure them a seat in their desired course. Rakesh Goswami added, “The remaining balance must be paid within the stipulated date and time to complete the admission process.”
The candidates are required to bring documents like their high school certificate for submission. It will be used to verify their date of birth. They also have to bring their final mark sheet from graduation. Furthermore, candidates in the reserved category have to submit a caste certificate. If they fail to do so, they have to give an undertaking during admission.
