The Department of Post (India Post) is expected to declare the results of the Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) 2024 anytime soon. Along with the first merit list, the department will announce the cut off marks as well. Candidates who have submitted their applications for the India Post Office GDS Recruitment 2024 can check the merit list, once released, through the official website, indiapostadsonline.gov.in.

Candidates will be chosen as per the merit list that will be created taking into consideration their class 10 grades. “The Merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained/conversion of Grades/Points to marks in Secondary School Examination of 10th standard of recognised Boards aggregated to percentage to the accuracy of 4 decimals,” reads the official notice by India Post.

Those whose names appear on the GDS Final Merit list will be notified through SMS and their registered email address. The department will conduct document verification for shortlisted soon after the results are out. The dates for the same will be notified over SMS.

India Post GDS Recruitment 2024 Result: How to Check?

Step 1. Visit the official India Post website at indiapostgdsonline in.

Step 2. Click the “GDS Result/Merit List” tab from the homepage.

Step 3. Enter the password and registration number.

Step 4. Hit the submit button.

Step 5. The result will appear on the screen.

Step 6. Download and save for further use.

This year, this hiring campaign aims to fill 44228 Gramin Dak Sevak positions in 23 circles in the country. The positions are spread over several states including 2,718 in Rajasthan, 2,558 in Bihar, 4,588 in Uttar Pradesh, 1,338 in Chhattisgarh, and 4,011 in Madhya Pradesh.

To be eligible for the posts, it is necessary to have basic computer skills, cycling skills, and financial literacy. There are two posts in Gramin Dak Sevak Recruitment — Assistant Branch Postmaster and Branch Post Master. The pay scale of Assistant Branch Postmaster is between Rs 10,000 to Rs 24,470. The pay scale of the branch postmaster is between Rs 12,000 and Rs 29,380. Those selected for the posts of Chowkidar will get a monthly salary of Rs 20,000.
