The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced new job openings that are available to candidates with a 12th-grade education. Positions are available for Deputy Superintending Archaeologist and Cabin Safety Inspector, with salaries based on the Level 10 pay scale of the 7th Central Pay Commission. This pay scale offers salaries ranging from Rs 56,000 to Rs 1.77 lakh per month.

UPSC has announced a total of 82 vacancies across two positions. Specifically, there are 67 openings for Deputy Superintending Archaeologist and 15 for Cabin Safety Inspector.
For the Deputy Superintending Archaeologist role, candidates must hold a Master’s degree in Archaeology or Indian History (with a focus on Ancient or Medieval Indian History) from a recognised university, along with a minimum of three years of relevant experience.
In contrast, the Cabin Safety Inspector position is open to candidates who have completed their 12th grade education.
Age Requirements
For UPSC positions, the age limits are as follows:
- General category candidates: up to 35 years
- OBC candidates: up to 38 years
- SC/ST candidates: up to 40 years
- Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PWBDS): up to 45 years
Application Fee
The application fee for these UPSC positions is Rs 25. However, women, SC/ST candidates, and persons with benchmark disabilities are exempt from paying the fee. Payments can be made through various online methods.
