The Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) has opened the registration window for the Constable Competitive Examination for the recruitment of Police Constables jointly with the Jharkhand Police. Under this recruitment drive, a total of 4,919 vacancies are to be filled within the state police force, as outlined in the notification issued by the Jharkhand Constable Competitive Examination-2023 (JCCE 2023).
Candidates can apply for the Jharkhand Constable Competitive Examination-2023 (JCCE 2023) online via the official website of the JSSC at jssc.nic.in. It is to be noted that the application window is available from today, January 15, and will remain accessible until February 14.
Furthermore, candidates will be able to pay the registration fee until February 16. The commission has further set the date to edit their application form from February 20 to February 22.
JSSC Police Constable Recruitment 2024: Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification: Aspiring candidates must have passed the 10th standard from a recognised board to be eligible for the Jharkhand Police Constable post.
Age Limit: Candidates applying for police constable posts must be at least 18 years old as of August 1, 2023. The maximum age allowed for the unreserved and economically weaker section is 25 years. For the extremely backward class and backward class, the maximum age is 27 years. The upper age for the SC/ST male and female candidates is 30 years.
However, for the female candidates belonging to the unreserved, economically weaker section, extremely backward classes, the maximum age is 28 years. In addition, age relaxation is available as per the state government rules.

Candidates must pay an application fee of Rs 100 at the time of online application process. However, the exam cost is Rs 50 for candidates from the state of Jharkhand belonging to Scheduled Tribes (ST) or Scheduled Castes (SC).
