New Admission Rules In Rajasthan Bring Relief To Gap-Year Students: Here's How
Dropout students can now take admission to higher classes and the process has started in colleges and universities for the same.

There is good news for students studying at government colleges in Rajasthan. Students who were deprived of admission due to the gap between the two classes will now be able to take admission to higher classes. In such a situation, drop-out students in their first year of undergraduate courses can also take admission. The admissions process has started in colleges and universities for the same. These changes bring relief to those students who were previously barred from higher education due to academic gaps.

This problem of students has now been solved. Students can now enrol themselves in undergraduate courses. Earlier, many students of class 12 were not able to take admission to college due to preparations for PTET, NEET, JEE and other similar exams. At the same time, due to the gap of two academic sessions, i.e., two years after the 12th, regular admission was also banned by the Rajasthan College Commissionerate. But now after the new change, they will also be able to take admission in college. This change particularly benefits students who had to prioritize preparation for competitive exams and others.

This amendment comes as a solution for the students who found themselves unable to secure college admission due to the gap. Previously, students with a gap of two or more academic sessions were prohibited from joining higher education institutions and put their educational careers on hold.

Earlier, according to the rules of the education department, students who had a gap of two or more academic sessions were not allowed to be admitted to the next class and attend classes as regular or private students. Now, with the end of this provision, those students who were not able to be admitted to college due to age and whose dreams of graduation remained unfulfilled have gotten relief. This initiative encourages several students to pursue higher education in the state.
