Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) declared the final results of the Civil Services Examination 2023 today, April 16. Aditya Srivastava has secured the first position while Animesh Pradhan has secured the second position and Donuru Ananya Reddy has secured the third position. This year, 31 candidates of Jamia Millia Islamia have qualified for the UPSC examination.
As many as 11 girls from Jamia Millia have cleared the exam. A native of Gorakhpur, Nausheen has secured All India Rank 9. The other female students who have cleared the exam include Divyanshi Singla, Harshita Sharma, Farheen Zahid, Prerna Singh, among others. A total of 151 appeared in the written test from JMI Residential Coaching out of which 71 appeared in interviews and 31 were finally selected.
UPSC has announced that a total of 1016 candidates passed the examination and have been recommended for various services of the Central Government. UPSC conducts exams every year in three phases to select officers for the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), and Indian Police Service (IPS). A total of 180 candidates have been selected for the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) in the UPSC CSE 2023 examinations. 200 candidates have been selected for the Indian Police Service (IPS); 37 candidates have been selected for the Indian Foreign Service (IFS). Through these examinations, 613 candidates have been selected for various Grade A posts of the Central Government. A total of 113 candidates have been selected for the Grade B posts.
According to UPSC, more than 2,800 candidates appeared in the interviews conducted in different stages. After this entire process, the names and roll numbers of the candidates selected for Civil Services have been released according to their rank. UPSC conducted the examination in 2023 to fill vacancies on 1,105 posts of Group A and Group B in IAS, IFS, IPS, and other central services.
