The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Civil Service Examination application process is set to commence soon. Notably, the UPSC Prelims exam for this year is scheduled for May 26. Needless to mention, lakhs of aspirants participate in the UPSC exam every year out of which only a few successfully navigate all the rounds including prelims, mains and subsequently interviews to ensure an opportunity as the coveted government officer.

One such aspirant who managed to clear the toughest examination in India despite the hurdles is IFS (Indian Forest Service) officer Himanshu Tyagi. IFS Tyagi, now, actively engages with aspirants on social media and shares with them useful tips to crack the exam.

In his recent post on X, Himanshu Tyagi shared some helpful tips to deal with anxiety. Drawing from his experiences, IFS shared valuable lessons to heal yourself and stay stress-free. Sharing tips, he wrote, “Want an answer to anxiety? Be with ‘flow’ = Be present + Express Gratitude + Mindful actions + Work-out.”

Live in Present

IFS Tyagi underscored the importance of utilising the time on preparation instead of wasting it on thinking about the future results and questions to be asked in exams. He said that you should not waste your time and enjoy every moment as it is necessary to focus on the present for a bright future.

Journaling

Next, IFS Tyagi recommended writing down everything you are grateful for, regularly. He advised expressing gratitude for every positive outcome and thanking the people who accompanied you on your journey. Additionally, he said that it is necessary to have a positive outlook.

Practice Meditation

Practising meditation daily is a must, according to IFS Tyagi. Emphasising the importance of indulging in physical activities, he said that being fit is the key to having a healthy mind and one needs to do meditation to ensure peace and good mental health.

Stay Connected To Nature

Preparing for UPSC CSE does not mean that one should stay in a room for hours. Instead, it is necessary to explore and stay connected to nature, recommends Tyagi for dealing with stress and anxiety.
