London: West Ham scored three times in an impressive first-half display against Fulham to win 3-0 in the Premier League on Saturday and claim their second straight home victory of the season.
Signed on a season-long loan from Liverpool on Thursday, England striker Andy Carroll made an immediate impression on his debut for West Ham by setting up the opening goal for former Newcastle team-mate Kevin Nolan after only 53 seconds.
Winston Reid and Matt Taylor added further goals before the break, with Carroll giving the Fulham defense a tough time with his power and aerial prowess before limping off with a muscle problem in the 68th minute.
Fulham, sold key attacking players Clint Dempsey and Mousa Dembele this week, lacked ideas up front even when deadline-day signing Dimitar Berbatov came on for the second half.
West Ham have six points after three matches.
