Johannesburg: Andres Iniesta is "not totally well" and could miss Spain's World Cup match against Honduras on Monday, according to coach Vicente del Bosque.
Iniesta was substituted in the 77th minute of Spain's 1-0 opening Group H loss to Switzerland after receiving a hard knock to his right leg. Del Bosque said Iniesta would be a game-time decision.
"We've got every player available except for Andres Iniesta, who is not totally well," Del Bosque said Sunday.
Iniesta, who has trained apart from the other 22 players since its opening defeat, has been bothered by a thigh muscle problem in the same leg since May 2009.
"It has nothing to do with the previous injury," Del Bosque said. "He's suffering from a knock that he picked up on his last play against Switzerland, which hasn't allowed him to be in perfect shape."
Honduras coach Reinaldo Rueda said Iniesta's potential absence would change nothing in his planning.
"Spain has enough individuals who can play in different positions and, even without Andres, in previous months they were able to maintain their philosophy and play their style," Rueda said. "Each team has its own problems."
Spain and Honduras both have zero points going into the match at Ellis Park.
Chile and Switzerland lead the group with three points ahead of their game, also on Monday.
