Cardiff: Former Cardiff manager Malky Mackay has dropped his legal challenge against the Premier League club after agreeing to a settlement following his firing in December.
In a statement released on Cardiff's website Friday, Mackay says "I did not want to be in litigation and believe that it is in the best interest of all parties to have a clean break and move on."
The terms of the agreement weren't disclosed.
Mackay was dismissed after a difference of opinion with owner Vincent Tan about the direction of the Welsh club.
Mackay adds in the statement that "if I have caused any offense to any one during this time, especially to Vincent Tan, then I apologize without reservation."
Cardiff is last in the standings with one game left and has already been relegated.
