Team India skipper Rohit Sharma was taped discussing his love for the sport of basketball in a greet session alongside the Larry O’Brien Championship Trophy, the NBA title, at the Nassau County International Stadium in the USA ahead of the ICC T20 World Cup.
In classic Rohit fashion, he teed off the clip by addressing the trophy as if it were an animate object with a crack-up of a greeting.

“Larry Paaji, Ki haal Chaal (Hey Larry Bro, Whatsup),” Rohit laughed.
The 37-year-old went on to name Chicago Bulls legend Michael Jordan as his favourite player in the sport that has ruled the USA.
“My favourite has always been Michael Jordan, for what he did for Chicago Bulls is obviously quite inspiring,” he said.
He also touched up on his affinity for watching current-generation stars such as LeBron James and Steph Curry ply their trade at the highest level of the sport.
“And guys like LeBron James, Steph Curry, those are the guys I love watching,” Rohit continued.
He went on to lift the trophy and commented on how heavy it was in another joke as he seemed in high spirits ahead of the T20 showpiece.
“Oh, it looks quite heavy! No wonder they are so tall, strong and big,” he joked.
Rohit will lead the men in blue as they go in search of an ICC title to end their 11-year trophy drought.
The opening batter is one of only two players to have been present at every one of the nine editions of the 20-over ICC event ever since its inception in 2007, which India went on to clinch under the stewardship of legendary skipper MS Dhoni.
Rohit would be eager to replicate India’s title-winning performance from all those years back as he leads the side for probably the last T20 World Cup in his illustrious career.
India are pooled in Group A alongside historic rivals Pakistan, hosts USA, Canada and Ireland and get their campaign underway with their fixture against Ireland on the 5th of June, before taking on Pakistan, USA and finally Canada to close out the group stages.
