Milan: AC Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri is confident striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic will return to the Serie A giants with his winning mentality intact.
Ibrahimovic said on Wednesday that he is not enjoying his football as much as he once did and claimed he wants to retire while still at his best.
However, the coach of the Serie A champion is not concerned.
"I am sure Ibrahimovic will return with the desire to get back to winning ways," said Allegri. "And to do so we need everyone to be calm and ready to give their all."
Ibrahimovic has spent the past week on international duty with Sweden, but he returns to training with Milan on Monday because he is suspended for his country's final European Championship qualification match against the Netherlands.
Sweden wanted to keep Ibrahimovic with the squad to boost team spirit ahead of Tuesday's crucial match, but Milan refused their request.
Milan vice president Adriano Galliani dismissed suggestions that this would only serve to dishearten Ibrahimovic further.
"I don't understand who benefits from spreading rumors about problems with Ibrahimovic," he said. "Ibra is anything but annoyed that he has to come back to us."
Ibrahimovic, 30, still has three years left on his contract with Milan.
