Madrid: Real Madrid look to have finalised a deal to bring Ruud van Nistelrooy back from Hamburg, according to a source at the club.
The 34-year-old Dutchman has been linked with a return to his old club since last week and the player himself has claimed that he is ready to play for Madrid once again.
Hamburg have been reluctant to let go of the forward, whose contract expires at the end of the season, while Madrid are desperate to bring in another striker with Gonzalo Higuain ruled out for up to four months.
Real Madrid TV presenter Andy May has tweeted that a return is imminent for the former Manchester United striker. He posted on Twitter: "It's still not official but it looks like RVN is returning to Real Madrid. Keep an eye on realmadrid.com for the announcement."
