Cristiano Ronaldo now has set his eyes on going past MrBeast on YouTube. The Portuguese legend has achieved innumerable records in European football both at the club and international levels. After breaking multiple records, Ronaldo is now aiming to become the most-subscribed creator on YouTube.

During a UEFA Nations League press conference, the Real Madrid and Manchester United legend spoke about the prospect of going past American YouTube sensation MrBeast.

A video was recently shared on X (formerly Twitter) where the Portuguese forward talked about the timeframe within which he aims to overcome MrBeast’s subscriber count. He said, “MrBeast on YouTube? In two years, let’s try to beat him.”

Cristiano Ronaldo launched his YouTube channel UR Cristiano last month which became an instant hit among the fans. His massive popularity across the world played a great role in his acquiring a ton of YouTube records on the first day of his channel. He gained a million subscribers within 90 minutes and over 50 million in less than a week. But Ronaldo still has some way to go to catch MrBeast in the YouTube race. The 26–year–old American is currently the most subscribed creator on YouTube with 313 million subscribers.

Given the growing pace of Cristiano Ronaldo’s channel, it might not take long for the Portuguese icon to surpass MrBeast. Ronaldo required just one day to reach 20 million subscribers on YouTube whereas the 26-year-old American needed 28 days to achieve the same. Ronaldo seemed quite confident in his channel’s growth and the YouTube race in the press conference.

The press conference was held before Portugal’s Nations League fixture against Croatia. The inaugural Nations League winners are currently set to take Croatia at the Estadio da Luz on September 6.

As for his last international campaign, Cristiano Ronaldo endured a goalless outing at the UEFA Euro 2024. The Portugal legend failed to score in five games and his side crashed out of the competition at the hands of France in the quarter-finals. The Les Bleus beat the 2016 winners 5-3 on penalties. It was Ronaldo’s first in 11 tournaments where the five-time Ballon d’Or winner failed to score.
