Pizarro is in his second spell at Bayern after returning to the club from Werder Bremen last year.
Munich: Veteran Peru striker Claudio Pizarro has signed a one-year contract extension with Europe and Bundesliga champion Bayern Munich.
Pizarro is in his second spell at Bayern after returning to the club from Werder Bremen last year. In total, he has made 281 appearances for Bayern and scored 112 goals.
Pizarro says in a club statement on Thursday: "I am 34 - nothing better could happen to me than signing a contract with Bayern again." He says he wants to keep playing football as long as possible.
Pizarro's contract extension comes shortly after new coach Pep Guardiola started work at Bayern.
