Mapusa: Fresh from their win against Mohun Bagan, Sporting Clube de Goa are looking to keep the winning momentum going as they take on bottom-placed Rangajied United in an Airtel I-League match here Thursday.

Sporting have put up a steady performance so far winning two matches while drawing and losing one each from their four outings and are placed fifth in the table.

The newly promoted Rangdajied United are without a win and placed at the bottom with two points from five matches. Sporting coach Oscar Bruzon Barreras is pleased with his team's performance against Mohun Bagan and is hoping that they will carry forward the momentum.

Sporting's success will depend much on how their midfield function. Jovel Martins, who has been the live wire on the flank, has combined well along with strikers Boima Karpeh and Dawson Fernandes with the former looking more lethal. The defense looks steady under Gonzalo Hinojal.

Rangdajied on the other hand are struggling to find their first win and coach Santosh Kashap is hoping that his boys give their best tomorrow to chalked out their first win. Captain Eugeneson Lyngdoh, who is the live wire in the middle, will be the one on whom coach Kashap will depend to carry out the attack. He will be supported by David Nghaite, who is in good form.

Rangdajied coach Santosh Kashap said that his team has come here well prepared to take on Sporting, who have the home advantage, but they will give tough fight and hopefully look forward to their first win tomorrow to boost the morale of the team.
