Tottenham Hotspur are inching closer to rope in Valencia and Spain striker Roberto Soldado for £26 million.
However, Valencia have maintained that the Spanish international will be only sold if his £26 million release clause will be met. Soldado who was formerly Liverpool's target would be Andre Villas-Boas third signing this summer after Paulinho and Nacer Chadli.
"There is interest in the player," said Villas-Boas.
"He is a quality player, he has done well at Valencia for the last few seasons."
Valencia coach Miroslav Djukic and former club director Antonio Sese has also admitted of the deal being done over the weekend.
"Roberto is a very good professional and if he decides to leave we will wish him a lot of luck," said Djukic.
"If his exit to Tottenham is confirmed then we will wish him all the luck in the world."
"They tell me that shortly Roberto Soldado will be officially transferred," Sese said on Twitter.
"They're paying the [£26m buyout] clause. Great management decision."
