Walcott's shoulder surgery to keep him out of action

London: England and Arsenal player Theo Walcott has undergone a shoulder surgery and will be out of action for 3 months at least.

Walcott suffered the injury ahead of the friendly against Germany in Berlin.

The 19-year-old has struggled with injuries since joining Arsenal in 2006.

He missed several months in 2007 and damaged his shoulder again in a Premier League game against Stoke.

The FA confirmed that they would compensate as they insure all national players to the tune of 1,00,000 pounds per week in lost wages.

But Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has added another spin to the whole matter, saying that many players seemed to be choosing club colours over national duty.
