The 2024 season of Formula One is right around the corner as the Bahrain Grand Prix serves as the curtain-raiser with the first race of the year taking place at the Sakhir circuit on the 3rd of March.
The first two races of the year, slated to take place in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, will see the race day being held on Saturday during the holy month of Ramadan.
This year is set to host 24 races, with slight rearrangement in the order of the circuits taking into consideration their physical locations and proximity to certain regions, hence reducing the run-around on tour and levying the logistical nightmares that follow.
Three-time defending champion Max Verstappen, who clinched a record 19 title wins last year will look to continue his purple patch in the upcoming edition as Red Bull prepare to assert their dominance yet again.
Other teams on the grid will look to vastly improve on their showing last year and give Red Bull a run for their money with seven-time World Champion Lews Hamilton all set to take the wheel for Mercedes for the final time this season before his move to Italian giants Ferrari.
Sergio Perez, Verstappen’s teammate, who managed to triumph at two circuits last year will look for better returns this year after a lot of scrutiny was laid on him for his off-colour season last time around.
Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz, who prevented a Red Bull clean-sweep last year with his triumph at the Singapore Grand Prix, will don the famous red for the final year before he makes way for the Brit Hamilton, who will partner up with Monegasque Charles Leclerc next year.
