Cricketer Suryakumar Yadav, who holds the top spot in T20I batting rankings, has been omitted from India’s T20I squad against Afghanistan due to an ankle injury sustained in the T20I series against South Africa. However, recent reports from the Times of India reveal that Suryakumar has been diagnosed with a sports hernia, prompting him to undergo surgery in Munich, Germany. Currently recovering at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru, he is expected to travel to Germany in the next few days for the operation, as confirmed by a source within the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
