‘Bengaluru, We Are Sorry’: BookMyShow 'Regrets' As Trevor Noah Shows Get Cancelled

A day after Trevor Noah cancelled Bengaluru shows due to ‘technical issues’, leading online ticketing platform, BoomMyShow has now issued a statement, apologising to all the fans. It mentioned that it ‘deeply regrets’ the inconvenience caused and assured everyone that their ticket money will be refunded in eight to ten working days.

“We are extremely sorry for the inconvenience caused at Trevor Noah’s ‘Off The Record’ show at Manpho Convention Centre on September 27th. The Bengaluru leg of the India Tour for both September 27th & 28th stands cancelled,” BookMyShow’s official statement reads.

“All customers who purchased tickets for both shows will get a complete refund within 8-10 working days. We deeply regret this experience that our valuable customers faced and hope to be able to bring Trevor back to this amazing city at the earliest,” it added.

Comedian and TV show host Trevor Noah was supposed to perform in Bengaluru on September 27 and 28 as a part of his Off The Record Tour. However, the shows were cancelled at the last moment due to ‘technical issues’.

“Dear Bengaluru India, I was so looking forward to performing in your amazing city but due to technical issues we’ve been forced to cancel both shows,” Trevor Noah had written announcing the same on X (formerly known as Twitter).

“We tried everything but because the audience can’t hear the comedians on stage there’s literally no way to do a show. We’ll make sure all ticket holders receive a full refund and again I’m so sorry for both the inconvenience and disappointment this has never happened to us before,” the comedian added.

As reported by Free Press Journal, Noah had arrived on the stage but he then left due to sound issues. He then reportedly said that he had expected the sound to be sorted and added that he had never had such an experience before.
