Easy Ways to Add Dashboards to UnleashX: Quick Start Guide
Do you want to add dashboards to UnleashX? All you need to do this is a modded original Xbox and the most up-to-date version of UnleashX. This wikiHow article teaches you how to add dashboards to UnleashX.
Things You Should Know
  • With a modded Xbox that has UnleashX installed, go to Menu > Dashboard/Install Dashboard.
  • Choose a dashboard from the list of available dashboards.
  • Customize and save your new dashboard.

Adding a Dashboard

Open the menu and navigate to Dashboard. If you just installed UnleashX, and haven't picked a dashboard yet, this will say Install Dashboard instead.

Choose a dashboard. You can choose out of 3: Gamer Stat dashboard: this will display your achievements. Social Hub dashboard: you can see your friends, as well as who's online and who's not online. System Performance Dashboard: this will show you information on your system.

Customize the dashboard. You can change the color settings, background, and font.

Save your changes. Once you save, the dashboard will immediately appear on your UnleashX display.

Downloading Other Dashboards

Download the dashboard you want. Make sure that you're downloading from reputable sources so you don't end up with a virus or malware. You'll also want to ensure the dashboard you download is compatible with your version of UnleashX and Xbox. Popular dashboards include: XBMC4Gamers EvolutionX XBMC FSD (Freestyle Dash) Kodi.

Extract the files. You'll need to use a program like WinRAR or 7-Zip to extract zipped files that aren't in .zip format. Your computer has built-in tools to unzip folders in .zip format. You'll find a folder with the name of the dashboard and a file called "default.xbe."

Connect your Xbox to your PC. Use an FTP like Filezilla. If you're having issues, make sure FTP is enabled on your console. The default IP address for your Xbox is "192.168.0.2" and both the default username and password are "Xbox."

Create a dashboard folder on your Xbox. Navigate to "E:\Dashboards" and create a new folder with the name of the dashboard you want to use, like "Kodi."

Copy the dashboard files to your Xbox. Copy the "default.xbe" file from your computer to your Xbox in that folder you just created. For example, if you want the Kodi dashboard, copy the "default.xbe" file into the "Kodi" folder on your Xbox. When you do that, that will now be a usable dashboard on your Xbox!

Disconnect everything and select the new dashboard for your Xbox. You're done using your computer and can go to Menu > Dashboard on your Xbox to change your dashboard.

What's your reaction?
