The boss of the Fire Temple, Volvagia, can be a tough one. It won't be so tough after reading this.
Jump onto the platform.
Once the boss starts, wait for its head to pop out of a hole.
Hit it with the Megaton Hammer to stun it, and then hit it with your sword until it pops back into the hole. If you don't stun it fast enough, it will breathe fire at you, or hit you with its claws if you're too close to it.
While it's flying, shoot it with arrows but avoid the fire and rocks. If it goes up to the ceiling, though, it'll be too high in the air to hit with arrows.
Use any of these attacks and Volvagia will be dead after about 6 times. Arrows can damage Volvagia but not kill her.
