One user wrote that America is the country where most Indians live. He added that around 44 lakh Indians live in the country. He further said that the second country is the United Arab Emirates (UAE), where there are around 31 lakh Indians. The third country is Malaysia, where 29 lakh Indians live. There was another user who added that there are a lot of Indians who live in Pakistan as well. It is not sure whether these claims were true or false.
As a result, a more reliable source was used. According to the report on the official website of the Indian Ministry of External Affairs posted in October 2023, the maximum number of Indians are in the USA. These include 12,80,000 NRIs, 31,80,000 PIOs, and around 44,60,000 Overseas Indians. In total, there are more than 89 lakh Indians who live in the country and have been working or studying there.
