Open Instagram in your internet browser. Type https://www.instagram.com into the address bar, and press ↵ Enter or ⏎ Return on your keyboard. If you're not automatically signed in, click the blue Have an account? Log in link at bottom of the page.
Click on your profile picture in the top right. You can also click the button that looks like a person next to the heart icon in the upper-right corner of the screen to open your profile page.
Click Edit Profile next to your username. This will allow you to edit your profile information on a new page.
Click the Bio box. You can find it below the Username and Website fields on the Edit Profile page.
Type the first line of your bio. You can type on your keyboard to enter the first line of your bio here.
Press the ↵ Enter or ⏎ Return key on your keyboard. This will allow you to type in a second line below the first one. You can press the enter/return key twice if you want to include an empty line between your lines of text.
Type the second line of your bio. You can use the enter/return key to add as many lines as you want within the character limit.
Click the Submit button. This is a blue button at the bottom of your screen. It will save your changes, and publish your new bio.
Click the figurehead on the top-right. This will take you back to your profile page. You can view your new bio below your username on the top-right.
