Getting In-Game Cheats
Create a new world.
Make sure the Cheats option is enabled.
In the game, press t to open chat.
Various commands can be used to change things in the game. For example, typing "/time set 0" will change the time of day to sunrise.
Adding Invulnerability
Open an inventory editor, like INVedit.
Put armor on player.
Set the damage to a very low negative number (e.g. -40000).
Save it to a world.
Open the world you saved it to.
You will be invincible to mobs as long as you wear this armor. Note: Fall damage, drowning, or fire can still hurt you.
Using Other Cheat Methods
Find tutorials and download Cheat Engine.
Install mods that allow you to manipulate the game like INVedit or MCedit. You can download Optifine as a mod. It improves the video settings of the game. It provides access to various texture packs with special features that change the look of the world. It offers new actions and cosmetic features. They give Minecraft a cleaner look.
