12 standing panel chiefs elected

BANGALORE: The chairpersons of all the 12 Standing Committees of BBMP Council were elected on Thursday. The election was conducted by the Mayor, Deputy Mayor and the ruling party leader. Of the 12 chairpersons elected, only two are women, Malathi (Markets) and Puttamma (Appeals). The remaining chairpersons are — Muneendra Kumar K A, (Taxation and Finance), A N Purushotham (Town Planning and Development), N R Sridhar Reddy (Major Public Works), Jayappa Reddy C R (Ward-level works), M Gautham Kumar (Accounts), (B Govinda Raju (Education), M Krishnappa (Social Justice), Y N Ashwath (Horticulture), V Vagish (Establishment and Administrative Reforms), and S Venkatesh Babu (Public Health).
