3 kids found dead in well near school

PERAMBALUR: Relatives of three students, who were found dead under mysterious circumstances in a well near their school, resorted to a road blockade and vandalized the school at Veppur near Kunnam, here on Thursday.  Sources said P Arun (8) and R Aravind Kumar (8), both students of class III at the Panchayat Union Primary School in Veppur, and S Chandru (6) a student of Class I in the same school, had gone missing after the noon meal interval.  It is said that the three used to go to school together by walk.Efforts to trace them by their parents went in vain and finally around 2 pm, a passer-by had found the bodies of the three boys in a well in a secluded spot near the school. Relatives of the students, with the help of the police, retrieved the bodies and took them into the school, where they began abusing the school authorities for their carelessness.Later, they began damaging the furniture  and also tried to assault the teachers.They then resorted to a road blockade near Veppur bus stand with the bodies.  Superintendent of Police Rupesh Kumar Meena arrived the spot and tried to pacify the protesters.  Traffic from Veppur to Thittakudi, Labbaikudikadu, Perambalur and other adjoining areas was affected for several hours as a result of the blockade.
