Lucknow’s Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport (CCSIA) has shifted its domestic operations from Terminal 2 to the newly built Terminal 3 (T3), touted as an ultramodern terminal with state-of-the-art amenities and passenger facilities.
“The move to shift operations to Terminal 3 is in line with the Lucknow Airport’s plan to shift all domestic and international flights to the newly built, integrated terminal, which was inaugurated by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi earlier this month,” said Rupesh Kumar, spokesperson of Lucknow Airport.
Currently, Air India, Indigo Airlines, Air India Express, Vistara, Fly Big, Air Asia India, and Star Air operate their domestic flights from Terminal 2. However, now the entire domestic operations have shifted to Terminal 3. The operations commenced at 00:00 hours from Sunday, April 21.
The CCSIA’s newly built Terminal 3 has become a talking point among passengers. “The tastefully decorated interiors compel you to spend more time at the terminal. The colorful interiors give it a fresh and vibrant feeling, adding to the travel experience,” said a passenger.

Sustainable elements such as the Twisted Green Wall and Fish-shaped Skylight add eco-friendliness,” the spokesperson of Lucknow Airport further said.
With 72 check-in counters (including self-baggage drop), 62 immigration counters, and modern facilities such as seven passenger boarding bridges and 13 boarding gates, T3 will ensure efficient operations.
The cityside area accommodates 550 cars, facilitating smooth passenger transitions.
Connecting 29 domestic and eight international destinations with over 110 domestic and 16 international flights daily, T3 will serve as a vital gateway, seamlessly blending functionality with aesthetics.
