A poet among Bishops

KOTTAPURAM: Kottapuram Bishop Dr Joseph Karikkassery expressed deep sorrow over the demise of Archbishop Cornelius Elanjikal on Sunday. He said that Elanjikal was a dedicated spiritual leader and a great scholar. He was instrumental in forming the Kottapuram Diocese by dividing Varapuzha Archdiocese of which he was the Archbishop.Elanjikal was a bishop among the poets and a poet among the bishops. He hailed from Kara in Kodungalloor under the Kottapuram Diocese.Bishop Karikkassery called upon the faithful of Kottapuram Diocese to offer special prayers for Bishop Elanjikal.
