HYDERABAD: A five-year-old girl, who was abducted from Amberpet on Monday, was handed over to her parents by police on Tuesday after finding her abandoned at Saroornagar. The girl’s gold earrings, worth Rs 10,000, however, were stolen by the abductor, police said.The girl, Akshita, is daughter of an auto driver, Ramakrishna, who resides at Mallikarjuna Nagar in Amberpet. On Monday evening, she was allegedly abducted by a woman while she was playing with other children. Unable to find the girl even after a frantic search, her family lodged a complaint with police on Tuesday morning. Even as police were searching, shopkeepers at Dilsukhnagar bus station noticed a girl crying on road. They took her to Saroornagar cops and she told them about her father’s mobile number.
