New Delhi: Legion, a group of hackers who say they are targeting the corrupt, on Saturday claimed responsibility for hacking into senior journalist Barkha Dutt ’s Twitter account. Soon after, Legion also claimed to have hacked into another senior journalist Ravish Kumar’s Twitter account .
The hacking nuisance began when the group took over Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi and absconding liquor baron Vijay Mallya's Twitter accounts.
"We use Twitter as a means to reach the public. We don't just hack Twitter accounts, go through the data and find out," read one of the tweets posted using Kumar's account. The tweets bore a signature — "Legion".
"Coming up next - @LalitKModi leaks. Stay tuned," they posted in a subsequent tweet. The tweets have since been deleted and Kumar’s account has been restored.
@nayisadak , a Twitter account handled by Kumar on behalf of the website, posted this soon after the hack.
