BANGALORE: As a part of the 79th Air Force Day celebrations, a motor cycle expedition from Bangalore to Kanyakumari was organised by the Headquarters Training Command.The expedition was flagged off by Air Vice Marshal M K Malik, Senior Officer-in-Charge administration from Mekhri Circle on Friday.The expedition was led by one Officer with 19 Airmen drawn from various Units under the Training Command.The team will travel through Salem, Madurai, Tirunelveli to reach Kanyakumari and will return in eight days, covering a distance of approximately 1,500 kms.The aim, officials said, was to increase the awareness about IAF among students of various educational institutions and to motivate them to consider a career in IAF apart from inculcating team spirit amongst the adventurers.It will also provide IAF a platform to enhance the image of Indian Air Force.
