CHENNAI: General Motors (GM) India unveiled the all new Tavera Neo 3 BS IV, here on Tuesday. “GM engineers carried out an extensive upgrade of the popular Tavera based on customer feedback.The result is a stylish yet durable vehicle that is perfectly suited for personal and business use,” GM president and managing director, Lowell C Paddock said.“The all-new 2.0-litre Tcdi direct injection diesel BS IV emission compliant engine is available with Tavera Neo 3. This power-pack is combined with transmission to deliver an excellent low-end torque and launch feel. This makes it ideal for India’s stop-and-go traffic conditions. It provides seamless power delivery and sets a new bench-mark in drive quality, performance & efficiency,” he pointed out.“The Chevrolet Tavera has proven itself over the years to be a highly reliable, comfortable and fuel-efficient vehicle. GM India’s in-house design and engineering team aimed for best-in-class passenger comfort to ensure an optimal ownership experience,” he said.“Besides offering low maintenance and running costs, it gives owners the convenience of long-service intervals, highly-durable components and a long-life maintenance-free battery. Because of its high level of local content, replacement parts are competitively priced and readily made available through GM’s nationwide distribution network.” He also said, “The new Tavera demonstrates GM India’s commitment to listening to our customers and continuously upgrading the products. As a result of the feedback we received, the Chevrolet Tavera once again raises the bar in terms of features and personal amenities for its segment. It is a testament to GM’s resolve to continuously add value and excitement to our entire Chevrolet product line-up in India.”Paddock said GM will launch Chevrolet Enjoy by this year-end, while focusing on further consolidation of its presence in the Indian market.Sumit Sawhney, vice-president, sales, marketing & after sales, GM India, said that the vehicle came with ARAI certified mileage of 12.2 kmpl, while the four models with the base model priced at `7.51 lakh and the higher variant at `10.34 lakh, both come at ex-New Delhi showroom price.
