KOCHI: The Kerala High Court on Thursday dismissed the bail plea of Mithra Susan Abraham, a third-year Travel and Tourism student of St Thomas College, Ranni, who is an accused in a case related to the assault on a youth Liju in August last. Appearing for the state, Director-General of Prosecution T Asaf Ali submitted that Mithra had been absconding for the past six months and if bail was granted, the accused would flee from the clutches of law. Mithra had called Liju 11 times on the day of the incident, prosecution said and added that five more accused are yet to be arrested.
