Automated machine to fill potholes?

BANGALORE: The Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP), facing public wrath for potholes on the city roads, is planning to opt for a ‘Jetpatcher’, an automated pothole filling machine.A press release from BBMP said that Mayor Sharadamma, along with Deputy Mayor Harish, ruling party leader B R Nanjundappa, opposition leaders and BBMP officials visited Delhi recently to study pothole filling by Delhi Muncipal Corporation (DMC). The DMC is said to have been successfully utilising the service of a ‘Jetpatcher’ for the past one and a half years. Officials from DMC informed that they have purchased two such machines and outsourced it for operation and maintenance.The release also said that ‘Jetpatcher’ is a fully automated mechanism, which needs just eight to ten minutes to fill a single pothole, without disturbing public.
