HYDERABAD: The much-hyped meeting between Telangana Congress MPs and AICC general secretary Ghulam Nabi Azad in Delhi did not take place on Monday.According to sources, Azad had decided against calling them to a meeting since all of them were firm on their stand that they would withdraw their resignations only if the party was willing to make a clear and unambiguous statement on Telangana statehood."We did not meet Azad. There is nothing to talk. We will withdraw our resignations only if the party makes a statement favouring formation of T state," Rajya Sabha member K Keshava Rao told ENS over phone from Delhi. "We are not going to attend the session. It is final," he said.Rao said their next action would depend on the decision of the speaker on their resignations. ``If our resignations are accepted, fine. We will fight for Telangana by joining the people. If they are rejected, we will not attend the House," he said.Asked whether they would adopt the same stand when the party needs their support for passage of the Lok Pal bill, Keshava Rao said: "We will support our party on the bill. For us there is no need to attend the House. We can vote even by staying in the lobbies," he said.
