New Delhi: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has said that the key eyewitness in the Badaun murder case has failed to pass its lie detector test.
The victims' families had earlier alleged that the CBI's probe was discriminatory as it was probing an honour killing angle.
The bodies of the two girls were found hanging from a tree in Badaun in May this year. While the families alleged gangrape, the post-mortem report of the girls ruled it out.
The accused in the case also cleared the lie-detector test, while the families of the victims failed it, leading the CBI to conclude that the two girls were most likely murdered in a case of honour killing.
