A wedding was called off between family members of the bride and the bridegroom after a situation similar to the popular scene in the recently released Telugu film ‘Balagam’ emerged.
In the film scene, a dispute between the groom and the bride’s younger brother over bone marrow in mutton led to the wedding being cancelled.
The family members of the bride, who was from Nizamabad district and the groom who was from Jagtial district had decided on the wedding, the engagement took place at the bride’s residence recently.
Both families agreed on conducting the marriage traditionally and lavishly, following which the bride’s family arranged non-vegetarian meals for the family members and relatives of the bridegroom.
While everything was going on smoothly, suddenly the guests pointed out that bone marrow of mutton was not served in the non-vegetarian dish. In response to this, the hosts clarified that they didn’t add bone marrow to the dishes, which eventually led to a quarrel between both parties.
Soon, the issue reached the local police station and the officials tried to convince the groom’s side in regard to the bone marrow issue. However, they argued stating that the bride’s family had insulted them by not serving bone marrow in the non-vegetarian dishes.
The bride’s family also argued that they weren’t informed about it earlier due to which the bone marrow was not added to the meals.
In the end, the police as well as local people were surprised to witness that the issue led to the wedding being cancelled, following which both the parties went back to their respective places.
