New Delhi: The bail plea hearing of human rights activist Dr Binayak Sen will continue on Tuesday in the Chhattisgarh High Court.
The court on Monday allowed the observers from the European Union to witness the proceedings of the court.
Earlier, the EU delegation, which includes representatives of Delhi based diplomatic missions from Belgium, France, Germany, Hungary, Sweden and the UK, was greeted with protests and black flags when they arrived in Raipur.
BJP MP and senior advocate Ram Jethmalani appeared in the court on behalf of Sen and against his own party's government in Chattisgarh.
Sen's bail plea has come up for hearing exactly one month after he was convicted for sedition and sentenced to life imprisonment.
Civil rights activists have been demanding his release since the sentencing.
