KOCHI: With factional feud intensifying within the Kerala unit of the BJP, the state leadership has been asked to stop blame game that could otherwise tarnish the image of the party. The BJP core committee which met here in the presence of RSS leadership has asked the senior leaders not to indulge in unnecessary bickering. The meeting also endorsed the leadership to maintain discipline and to engage more in public issues. Apart from the RSS leadership, the meeting was attended by leaders from various Hindu organisations, sources said. The suspension of the BJP Kasargod district committee was discussed in detail at the meeting, sources said. The Kasargod district committee was suspended citing lapses, which led to the defeat of party state general secretary K Surendran at its stronghold Manjeswaram in the Assembly elections. Moreover, a section of the leaders had levelled serious allegations against Surendran that he had misused the post of the party general secretary and had misappropriated funds sanctioned for the Assembly elections in Kasargod and Manjeswaram constituencies. The core committee meeting was held following the discussions and decision taken in the Sangh Parivar’s baitak held in Kochi on August 26 and 27. During the Baitak, the Sangh Parivar had discussed the issue of factional feud in detail and had asked the leaders to maintain discipline.    BJP state president V Muraleedharan, general secretary K Surendran, organising secretary V Satish, senior leaders O Rajagopal, Sreedharan Pillai, P K Krishnadas, C K Padmanabhan, Pranth Karyavahak P Gopalan Kutty and P R Saidharan were those who attended the core committee meeting.
