THRISSUR:: Jophy, owner of the fireworks unit that exploded in Mulamkunnathukavu was found dead on the spot, a witness said. “It was horrible. His body was charred and limbs were splattered all over the place. It was nightmarish to watch his body parts being gathered and carried downhill in clothes,” said the witness. “The victims were all looking like victims of a mine explosion, singed and torn, smeared in gun powder. Most of them were unconscious.”At the time of the report, the doctors were beginning proceedings for post mortem at the Medical College. Five were confirmed dead so far, but it is feared that the toll might go up. The police are searching for any other casualties on the spot.
