The MCD served demolition notices to Sheila Dikshit and her son, MP Sandeep Dikshit for 'misuse of property' asking why the alleged illegal constructions should not be demolished.
A notice for sealing of property was sent to Congress MLA and Delhi Jal Board vice-chairperson Anjali Rai too.
BJP legislator Sahib Singh Chauhan has been served notice for allegedly running a school on government land.
Notices were also sent to Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee chief Ram Babu Sharma, Urban Development Minister A K Walia, Education Minister Arvinder Singh Lovely, Industries Minister Mangatram Singhal, Mayor Satbir Singh, MCD Standing Committee Chairman Mukesh Goyal, BJP MLA Prahlad Singh Sahni, Congress legislator Mukesh Sharma and councillor Suresh Yadav.
The politicians have been given three days' time to reply to the notices.
Taking cognisance of media reports about politicians allegedly owning illegal constructions, the Delhi High Court had directed MCD to take action against them and submit an action taken report in this regard to it on January 31.
When contacted, the politicians on whom the notices were served declined to comment on the development.
