BANGALORE: A cab driver was robbed by a gang of five miscreants, who in the pretext of enquiring address, robbed him. The incident was reported in front of Aurobindo School in J P Nagar First Phase on Saturday.According to the police, the victim B H Satish, a resident of Kammanahalli, after dropping a passenger to Sri Aurobindo Ashram in J P Nagar slept inside the car parking it in front of the school gate, located in the Ashram’s premises. At around 12.45 am some unidentified men woke him up and asked him the way towards J P Nagar 8th Block. As he was directing them, the miscreants allegedly threw chilli powder into his eyes and dragged him out of vehicle, before escaping with the car.“The miscreants, after going a little further, came back and tried to attack the victim with stones. However, he managed to run inside the school seeking the help of security guards. The miscreants, in the meantime, escaped with the car,” the police added. J P Nagar police have registered a case in this connection.
